The program offers the opportunity for involvement in research, design development, construction drawings, model building and more. Depending on their experience and portfolio, individuals applying at the Center are classified either as a student or volunteer intern.

Student

Students work one-on-one with principal architect Tullio Inglese or a staff member in an intensive learning experience that includes design theory as well as technical instruction. The only prerequisites are enthusiasm, interest, and self-discipline. Credit may be arranged through the student’s home university. Tuition for students is $1000 per month, minimum one month commitment required. Partial scholarships may be available. After 3 months, students wishing to continue as an intern may reapply and submit their work for evaluation.

Intern

An intern comes to Nacul Center with some experience in architecture or engineering. Interns assist in the development of architectural projects, further developing their design and technical skills. Interns work as volunteers and sometimes can earn a salary by working on projects commissioned to TIA Architects.

All interns and students are expected to attend field trips, project reviews, and seminars. Nacul Center accepts interns and students throughout the year. If you are interested in joining us, please download and send your completed application to the Nacul Center. We also recommend that you contact us to arrange an interview with Tullio Inglese either in person or by phone.
