Self-Realization Meditation

Sun January 8, 2012 at 6:00 AM Ends: Sun December 30, 2012 at 12:00 PM

Every Sunday at the Nacul Center, members of Self-Realization Fellowship lead a group in guided meditation based on the scientific techniques developed by Paramahansa Yogananda to experience a personal awareness of God.

Sundays – 6am to noon
Nacul Center Gallery

This Meditation Group is composed of devoted members and friends of Self-Realization Fellowship, founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda for the purpose of disseminating Kriya Yoga, a definite scientific technique for attaining direct personal experience of God.

Central to Paramahansa Yogananda’s teachings are scientific techniques of concentration and meditation that lead to the direct personal experience of God. These yoga methods quiet body and mind, and make it possible to withdraw one’s energy and attention from the usual turbulence of thoughts, emotions, and sensory perceptions. In the clarity of that inner stillness, one comes to experience a deepening interior peace and awareness of God’s presence.
